Largest Physical Blessing

Sunrise Outside Our HouseEvery day is a brand new day!

The Great View outside Our House

Ah Boy in his Toilet
Living at the first floor is a big convenience for us whenever we need to bring the dogs out for play and to do their business. This garden is just a few steps outside our house. There's even a big field opposite for the dogs to have a good run.

Welcome In God has truly blessed us alot alot. As mentioned in my wedding blog, not only did He bless us to be able to get married at such a young age despite our lack of discipline in saving up for marriage, He also blessed us with a wonderful house.

God's timing was smack on the dot. Around the time when we were renovating our house, lao gong happened to be in the renovation business. So he took the whole door back to the factory and had a new laminate pasted over the door, turning the door from boring HDB to contemporary condo ^_^

Before and After of Our Cosy Corner

Our house came completely bare. We wanted to allow light to pass thru and create a more spacious feeling while retaining the cosyness of a contained space in the tv room so we hacked down the wall separating our tv room from the living room and had it replaced with a glass.

My Favourite "Ice-Cubes" Lights

Boring wall replaced with Glass
We live right at the first storey. The labour for bringing such a heavy big piece of glass is very costly. Cables will also be required to lift it up if it can't go thru the stairway or elevator. If we were to split this glass into two, there wouldn't be the seamless look with the line in between. Because of that, we saved alot on this piece of glass.

Our "Mini Theatre"

We painted this room a deep blue and scarlet to create the atmosphere of a cinema experience.

Our Master Bedroom

My fav Lamb on My Fav Couch
We painted our master bedroom a dark purple to give it a romantic and cosy look. The whole floor is carpeted with gold carpet cos I wanted to feel like I'm living in a hotel room ;P

Sultan's Bed hehe See the pretty lilac cloths hanging down at the 2 sides of the bed? It's actually a "cloth" light. We got it during our honeymoon at Bangkok.

Sunshine Look

I was so old-fashioned. Wanted a leather headboard for my bed. Thank God lao gong suggested this wall paper for our headboard. Pretty right...

Our Black "Hotel" toilet
The toilet came with orange floor tiles but to complete the "hotel" look and give me my dream toilet, lao gong got the tiler to overlay the original tiles with black tiles. We also hacked away the beige HDB sink and toilet bowl and replaced them with a black glass sink and a shiny black toilet bowl. And of course we got all these at a good deal cos lao gong was in the reno line at that time. :P

Common Toilet

We got the footprints at a deal! The shop was having a closing down sale with 50% discount for about $60+. Few weeks later, we saw exactly the same thing being sold at Molecule for $100+!
See our toothbrush holder. So cute right? Darling Sally bought it for us after she heard about my search for toothbrush holders. Mine's the blue puppy one and I gave lao gong the pink hippopotamus. Just to make fun of him! It has this cool technology. When u take the toothbrush out, the holder will just open up automatically. When you put the toothbrush back, it will also close automatically.

Study Room complete with a Dog that looks like a Pig being Roasted

Lao Gong's Kitchen
Lao gong keeps saying this kitchen is his cos he uses it much more than I do. I take that as a blessing. Don't mind giving him ownership of this place =D
