Our 1st Performance @ the Esplanade Theatre
Name of Performance: Sevilla by Compania Maria Pages (pronounced as Pah-gays)
Verdict of Performance: Wonderful!
I had thought that it was gonna be a traditional flamenco dance performance but it turned out to be a dance performance of international standards. Boundaries of art were broken as canes were added to a piece to create new dimensions to the rythmns of the tapping feet and clapping of hands. Another piece had the dancers clad in black from head to toes and shoes embedded with small red lights. With the use of good lighting and music, the whole performance was a truly enjoyable one.
